After 7 weeks of waiting, our beds, furniture, clothing, crockery, pictures, pots and pans and other miscellanea have arrived from the UK. And about time. The air mattress we have been sleeping on is nice, but it cannot compare to our Tempur-pedic mattress, arguably the best investment we ever made. Sweet dreams are made of this, as the Eurythmics once sang. And we can now cook food in a pot and eat from proper plates, rather than using microwave food and paper plates (although that does make it very easy to do the washing-up). The best thing of all is that now Hamish has places he can sit in comfort, hide with ease and even claw with glee! He really loves sitting astride one of the arms of our sofa, with his legs spread elegantly either side. All I can say is that I salute the man who invented the lint roller.
