The Daily Commute and Vespa Spotting
2Sep2005This morning took my first commute into town at rush-hour on my scooter. I selected a Friday as it is usually a bit quieter than other week-days. Total time taken – 4 minutes – which is not too bad. Admittedly I did find a parking spot immediately, which is great because finding parking can sometimes take twice as long as the commute! I am always intrigued at how people park their scooters – they seem to get them into the narrowest of spaces. Since I bought the new Vespa I have turned into a bit of a Vespista (i.e. sad Vespa-spotter ), and am always on the lookout for older bikes so I can grab a photo. Here is one I found outside Masters and thought it looked good with the combination of yellows.
