Christmas Day Blues
29Dec2005One of the great things about living on a sub-tropical island is the fact that you can go to the beach on Christmas Day, drink champagne and enjoy the warm temperatures with your fellow ex-patriates. This year was especially temperate, with blue skies, sun, and santa hats in abundance. Some people even ventured in the water – but in my opinion they were either too young to know the difference (as in my picture here), or just plain stupid, as the water is cold enough to cause major shrinkage. There are some who even have their own version of the Loony Dook, jumping off Flatts Bridge at 10am on Christmas Day – now it may not be the Firth of Forth, but it’s still too chilly for me!
