A is for …
28May2006Absence. I took a week or so off blogging to let some things sink in.
Anyway, I am happy to report that I am back, and that I realised tonight that most of my favourite foods begin with ‘A’ too:
- Avocado
- Asparagus
- Artichoke
- Almonds
- Ale of the Guinness variety
And the good thing is that they all taste great together in a salad…except for the Guinness, that is. And yes, I know, including Guinness under the letter ‘A’ was a bit of a stretch…
Thanks for all the comments whilst I was away.

Welcome back. I hope things are well. I love your photos– as usual.
I actually picked a town to live in because (among a couple of other insignificant factors) it started with the letter “A”, like my name.
Strangely enough, I find myself attracted to things that start with “J”… like Jeeps, my friend Jeff, Jesus, Java, etc.
very interesting, as most of my favorite foods start with “b”: banana, black berries, beef jerky and bbq chicken wings (bbq anything), and they are all ready to eat.
welcome back!
Welcome back Tom, you were dearly missed! I too like the letter A for the obvious reason that my name starts with an A. I know they say that blondes have more fun, but really, I’d say A’s have more fun.
Come on!
I am eating the whole alphabet gladly!!!
welcome back, good to ’see’ you again.
mckenzie – thanks
aimee – picking a town based upon the alphabet is somewhat risky – you could have ended up in Arbroath! As for the letter J – what about juniper berries (main ingredient in Gin)?
ana va havana – one word – beer!
allykay – thanks. Do A’s have more fun than the other vowels? E is pretty out there, I think.
e.i. – alphabet soup?
jromer – thanks …
