In the Drink – Part 3
11Jul2006Welcome to another drink-related post, following my previous two entries on the subject (both non-alcoholic).
Recently I have been having second thoughts about my alcohol consumption, after over-indulging one too many times in the last ten days.
Yes, I have been known to take a month off the sauce, usually in January (for obvious reasons, and along with many others), but doing that at this time of the year is generally unheard of – there are just too many parties going on. And to make things worse, I came across a great new resource for wine tasting. It’s a website which is slick and well designed and inhabited by wine-lovers like me. It really makes me want to try new wines so I can add tasting notes to the site.
And today I saw another thing I really want – speakers made from whisky casks. They sound good already, although I would have preferred if they had been constructed with Caol Ila casks rather than ones from Suntory.
Which got me thinking, is there anything else which would be better if it was constructed from an old whisky cask?
- My house – Glenturret
- My bed would be made from casks of Knockando
- My dining table would be suited to Speyburn
- All the bits of wood on the sailboat I sail on might smell nicer if they were from Isle of Jura
- My squash racquet would probably suit being made from Glenlossie casks
- My head would definitely be constructed from Tomintoul
What’s your dram?
