- I saw a woman feeding the birds at Pebble Beach. The only thing was what she was feeding them – Roasted garlic and chive artisan flatbread – it must be good being a seagull in Cali…
- I saw a Goth in the city wearing a panda bear backpack. While it was weird, it also made me realise that pandas are the ultimate goths – they dress in black, they have pale faces, there is the whole black eye makeup thing going on, and they like the Sisters of Mercy (OK, I made the last part up)
- When I checked into my hotel I received a Sleep Advantage CD, which plays whale songs and the like to help me sleep. I’m considering playing it in the car to test how effective it is. Even if it works, I will still be driving better than most people on the 101. And I do have Niamh the Navigatrix to help me out…
- I have discovered Big Sur bars, and have decided that I could live on them…
