I am back in California, in the middle of a heatwave, doing some touring around the state, and have just spent some time in Yosemite.
The biggest story in the news over here right now is Mel Gibson’s sexist and anti-semitic remarks when he was picked up drunk-driving after a heavy night on the town cavorting with some blondes in a local nightspot. That was probably him swerving down the road ahead of me the other night after one too many tequilas. I guess his wife will crucify him…
Anyway, Cali is great. I drove past a Jello truck on the way to the park, and spotted this on the back of the truck were the words: Attention: Driver does not carry spoons – that made me chuckle, but not as much as the price of gas…
yes there is a god…his wife possibly wanting to crucify him will have to get in line behind all the other people he insulted. i try to do the right thing, try not to be judgemental, but after i read his view on homosexuals and his admitting that he believes his very own wife will burn in hell because she doesn’t believe exactly the way he does…well let’s just say that when i heard of the latest mel gibson incident, i licked my fangs with glee.
Er, sorry this is not related to the post (poor Mel, actually, that’s all), but how did you make your blog disappear for awhile – then, abracadabra, reappear? Inquiring minds want to know.

rebecca – not sure what you mean. I haven’t been posting as frequently due to pressures of work (sigh), but I did not realised it had disappeared?
