Looks like Adam the Anachronist is finally taking the leap into the digital domain. (My digital compact does not count). <br/><br/>Everybody seems to recommend the digital Canon SLRs. They recently released the 400d (10.1 megapix) which seems good. But Photokina is due in a week or two, and I will wait and see what new models the big names release there.
